The Matrix Première in Paris, France, Gaumont Place D'Italie, 19/06/1999

Yesterday night, Saturday 19th June, was a great day, we've been to assist The Matrix very Première in France.

So it all began with a HUGE SURPRISE, the film team was present !!!
Keanu, Carrie-Anne were already inside the theater for a "invitation only première" (was Laurence Fishburne there ?)
I've just missed their entrance by 5 minutes and I felt soooo bad about it !!!

But after a few moment the Directors and Writers the Brothers Andy & Larry Wachowski came out, they walked out of the theater like that, COOL, just chatting with their friends ... in fact nobody seamed to recognize them as I shot them alone, quietly ;-) !!!
An odd thing is that they left the theater without watching their movie ... they saw it too many times perhaps ? ;-)

Here are their pics, I hope I'm allowed to put them on this website, if anybody know(s?) more than me the rules that apply to online pics publication please write me @ mcgil@mcgil.com

Then began the wait for Carrie-Anne Moss and Keanu Reeves as these ones, 'unlucky folks', had to stay inside to watch The Matrix.
While waiting we could enjoy nice sights, like those two angels :

2 hours later, and with some Chicken Fried from Kentucky in the (beer ;-)) belly we were damned ready to see the stars ... when people from the "invitation only première" began to go out, we were tensed, what if we miss them ? A few minutes later it became clear that Trinity and Neo went out by a side door ... FUCK !!! It was really a big big deception for the few people waiting with cameras ... I mean what happened ? they are doing their job : promoting their own movie and they don't want to see their fans ? Where the hell did they learn that it was like this ? Why did they do that ? :-( :-( :-(
Ok if we would have been thousands very 'scary' we would've understood but no! we were less than 50 and around 10 security men were between us and the theater !!!

Anyway let's forget it, dry our drops and then finally go in for The Matrix.

Our thoughts after it : WOW !!! How did they do that !!! ;-)

PS : The funniest part of it was meeting people in the crowd who said they had already seen The Matrix 4 times using Internet.
That's funny to come to a première knowing the movie, don't you think ? ;-)

NEW - 01/01/2000 : That's it, I saw The Matrix for the 15th time today ;-)

2 times in french, 1 time in spanish and the rest in original language.
